This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, meet other new international students, and get tips on how to make the most of your time at TRU. Whether you need guidance on navigating the campus or simply want to learn about the vibrant student life, the tour will provide all the information you need to feel confident and excited for your studies ahead.

The library is a key resource at Thompson Rivers University, offering everything you need to support your studies and help you adjust to academic life in Canada. This tour will introduce you to all the essential library services and facilities available to you as an international student.
During the tour, you'll learn about:
  • Study Spaces: Find the ideal place to study, whether you need a quiet spot to focus or a collaborative space to work with fellow students on group projects.
  • Library Collections: Discover a wide range of resources, from books and journals to e-books and online databases, all tailored to support your academic programs.
  • Research Assistance: Get tips on how to effectively use the library’s research tools and how the library staff can assist you with finding academic sources, citing properly, and accessing online research material.

Welcome to the Discover Kamloops Bus Tour, an exciting opportunity for new international students to explore the beautiful city of Kamloops and get familiar with the local area. This guided bus tour will help you discover key locations around the city, making it easier for you to navigate and feel at home during your studies at TRU.
During the tour, you will:
  • Discover Local Amenities: Visit important spots like grocery stores, shopping centers, and restaurants, so you know where to find everything you need for daily life.
  • Explore Transportation Routes: Learn about the city’s public transportation system and the bus routes that connect TRU with various parts of Kamloops. This will help you easily get around the city and reach your destination with ease.
  • Visit Community Centers: Check out local parks and recreational areas where you can relax, socialize, and engage in activities outside of your studies.
  • Learn About Services for Students: Get to know services like banks, Royal Inland Hospital, and other essential services that will be important for you during your stay in Kamloops.
